Welcome to the updated Software Logbook, version 1.4; the software information keeper for Windows 3.0 users. I hope you enjoy using the program as much as I enjoyed putting it together.
The purpose of SWL is to put, in one easy-to-find place, all the critical information about the various software packages you own together. If you hate having to dive into a stack of disks and/or books just to find that one critical phone number, serial number, or version number, you know why I wrote this program. Now, turn on the machine, start up the program, and presto: instant access to all that information, and more. Just do it once, and its done.
I have built into the program unlimited expandibility. Just ask for a new page with a menu choice, and you got it. The limit to the size of your log book are the limits of your hard disk and your wallet.
Most of the program is easy and self explanatory:
All these commands are found under the "Page" menu:
Keyboard command Mouse
To add a new page to the book Press CTRL+N New Page
To move forward one page Press CTRL+RIGHT ARROW Next
To move back one page Press CTRL+LEFT ARROW Previous
To move to the first page Press CTRL+UP ARROW First
To move to the last page Press CTRL+DOWN ARROW Last
In the "Edit" menu, you will find:

To sort the software title in
assending alphabetical order Open "Edit" menu, Sort by
Press the "S" key Vendor
To do a Word Search Open "Edit" menu, Word
Press the "W" key Search
You can even print out hard copy with SWL. I tried to leave nothing out.
This program was tested on 286 computers and 386SX and 386DX computers. It was tested under both the run-time and full versions of Toolbook. It should work fine on yours. All this convinience, and all I am asking for is ten lousy dollars, just for a gratuity. And, if you send this gratuity, and you have the full version of Toolbook, I will send you the Author level access code, so you can customize the book, eliminate the "beggar's box" at the begining, or whatever. Run-timers can send me the money, with a blank disk (of any size), and I will copy a version without the "beggar's box" on the disk and send it back.

I am uploading this program as shareware. I do ask seriously for the donation of $10 American dollars, should you decide to use this program regularly, or irregularly. If you wish to, and I do encourage you to, upload this program to other BBSes, you must include this README.SWL file with it. I make no promises about this program working on any specific machines, except my own. Use at your own risk. I accept no....well, you know the deal about shareware. No reason for me to repeat it all.
